Meet the SIOP YI Awardees 2020 - Mary-Ann Dadzie

Please meet Mary-Ann Dadzie, YI from Ghana, in her own words.



Dr MaryAnn Dadzie was born on 13 October 1980 at Osu a suburb of Accra, the capital city of Ghana.

She is currently a practicing as a specialist clinical oncologist providing services in radiation and medical oncology. She received her training at the Ghana college of physicians and surgeons in 2016 after completing university of Ghana medical school in 2008.

She has special interest in pediatrics and is a member of the African cancer coalition task force adapting the NCCN guidelines to resource constrained Africa. She is a member of the tumor board for pediatric oncology at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital where she practices.

She has authored and co authored several papers on cancer care in Ghana. Her love for children is exemplified by her activities with the children’s service of her church which she leads with dynamism.

She is a wife and a mother to two children. She is a avid reader of crime fiction. She is member of AORTIC, ESMO and ESTRO where she has presented abstracts.
