Please meet Kirsten Thus, YI from the Netherlands, in their own words.
I am Kirsten Thus, currently a fellow in pediatric oncology in the Princess Maxima Center in
Utrecht the Netherlands. During my time as PhD student my research was focused on donor
selection for stem cell transplantation but at this SIOP meeting I will present the data from
the intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) prophylaxis trial in acute lymphoblastic leukemia
patients. In this randomized trial we showed that IVIG prophylaxis leads to a reduction of
admissions for fever in these patients. Looking forward to meeting you all and discuss these
data.
