An Overview of the Young Investigator Education Day in Kyoto!

Hello, my name is Gemma. I am a Young Investigator (YI) board member from the UK. This week on the blog I am delighted to give you all an overview of our speakers our 4th SIOP YI Education day which will be held on Friday 16th November 2018.
Our first speaker is Dr Lillian Sung who is speaking about Patient Reported Outcome Measures. Dr Sung was a very popular and engaging speaker at our 2017 Education day and we are excited that she is returning to speak again in 2018. Dr Sung will be followed by our second speakers Dr Joan Haase and Dr Celeste Phillips-Salimi, who will be jointly presenting on Teenage and Young People Involvement in Research.
After the coffee break YIs will be asked to choose between three 90 minute writing masterclasses: Dr Peter Newburger and Dr Thomas Gross will be instructing YIs on Abstract Writing, Dr Faith Gibson will be leading a masterclass on Patient Information Sheets, and Dr Justin Baker will be speaking about providing patients with Lay Summaries and Feedback.
The masterclasses will be followed once again by the YI Expert Lunch.
